In-interview commands
Every Poisely command
During a live interview, Poisely runs on function keys instead of clicks. Each key is printed on its own button in the app, so there is nothing to memorise, but here is the full list.
Hold Fn with the key. On laptops — and every Mac — the top row acts as brightness and volume by default, so a bare F-key does nothing; the key you actually want is Fn+F1, Fn+F2, and so on, which is how they are written below. Prefer the F-keys on their own? Turn on Function Lock — Windows: Fn+Esc (look for a small lock icon on Esc); Mac: System Settings → Keyboard → “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” — then you can skip the Fn.
Interview platforms recently tightened their proctoring, adding tab-switch and focus detection that flags you the moment your interview tab loses focus. Poisely stays ahead of it: the app is capture-invisible (off every screen share and screenshot) and focus-invisible (nothing you do on it ever pulls focus from your interview tab). Clicking a button would pull focus, so controls moved to function keys the operating system swallows whole. Zero footprint, nothing to see.

When the question is too long to fit on one screen. Long tests and coding problems
often need scrolling, and a single screenshot only catches part of them. That is what
Fn+F2 is for: it takes a screenshot and keeps it instead of answering straight away.
Scroll down, press Fn+F2 again for the next part, and keep going until you have the
whole question. Then press Fn+F1 and Poisely reads all of the screenshots together as
one page, so instructions or a table at the top still count for a question further down.
You can stack up to four, and it costs the same as a single read. If the question already
fits on one screen you do not need Fn+F2 at all, just press Fn+F1.
Update first. These commands ship with the latest desktop app. Reopen Poisely and take the required update before your next interview, then you are set.
